(Ok, so the source of inspiration for this character is twofold. The look and feel of the character is based off of the L'na Dawn race card image that looks something like a mix between a snow leopard and a snow owl. The inspiration for the name comes, oddly enough, from our cat Ghost. So...have fun...)

The L'na reaction to Apoc Earth has been mixed. Some have come and carved out a life aiding the Dreaming, or roaming the new wilds of Apoc Earth. Others have come and put their powers to good use, even to the extent of becoming leaders of other beings and being worshipped as gods. Other have taken a decidedly negative turn, and some of their actions can be termed only as "evil".

In the frozen North, only the strong and the smart survive. Pre-Apoc Earth's polar regions were incredibly harsh on any creature not suited to it's climate. Apoc Earth's polar regions have become even more cold and harsh than before. Horrible creatures, many of which have never been witnessed by the eyes of men, dwell in these frozen regions. It is true, only the strong surive here. And the cruel.

Still rumors persist. Spread among the Issant and the Churl tribes, rumors of a dark god of snow and ice that haunts the northern reaches of the world. The Ghost of the North. The Northern tribes pay homage to it, making sacrifices, and staying indoors during snowstorms. The Ghost does not strike only in the dark of night, but can strike at high noon, darkening the sky with freezing blizzards and raging winds. Few have seen the Ghost and survived to tell the tale. And accordingly, no physical descriptions of the Ghost can be found. There are only three things that can be found in each story of the Ghost: An ear splitting scream that rides on an icy wind, a cold far colder than any experienced before, and piercing blue eyes staring at you from beyond an icy veil.

Icewind once roamed the frozen realms of Ai, a master of his domain. His powers over ice, wind, and water were incredible. He could conjure blizzards at a moments notice, or freeze entire seas in the blink of an eye. In his home, his center of power, Icewind was a force of nature. Then the Event happened. Icewind was flying through a strong blizzard, trying to bring it under control, when he was struck with a bolt of lightning and knocked from the sky. When he awoke, he found himself no longer on Ai, but in the frozen wastes of Apoc Earth's northern polar region. The terrain was similar, but where Ai was balanced and pure, Apoc Earth was chaos and taint. Somewhere in his mind and his soul, Icewind could feel the power of Ai flowing to him, weak but there. Icewind flew for miles, searching for a way to return to Ai, but in the end found none. However, ever the survivor, Icewind decided to embrace his new home. He sooned learned about it's inhabitants as well as its dangers. Icewind has since regained his strength, but it is a mere iota of what it once was. Now Icewind roams the polar north, ranging from North America, to Asia, to Europe, riding the northern winds. He has gathered some prestige, being worshipped as a deity by some of the more isolated Northern tribes. These tribes fear him, and generally try to avoid him, but also do his bidding. He has made agreements with several tribal chieftains, they protect his various lairs and dens, and in return, he protects them from other tribes. Entire Churl tribes have died of hypothermia or been frozen solid where they stood because they went to war with the Ghost's followers. Still, despite this, encounters with unfamiliar creatures can end badly, as Icewind would rather freeze a potential threat in its tracks than try to investigate it's nature. Icewind is often the bane of Highbreds, who often take a "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality with anything they encounter in the polar regions. Icewind is also a pledged enemy of Flux horrors, who often investigate the northern reaches for creatures they can taint and twist. They often don't live long enough to regret their decision to look north.

Tactics:
Icewind is a cold blooded killer, and his enemies are usually dead before they even see him. A master of ice, wind, and water, Icewind uses these harsh elements to make life miserable for his enemies. He also prefers to strike from un-seen vantage points, using blasts of ice, wind, and soul energy to destroy and terrify his enemies. His trademark roar is amplified as it is usually accompanied by a blast of icy wind. Because of his coloration, Icewind blends in with the snowbanks and drifts that he calls home all to well. The last thing many see is his ice blue eyes peering at them from behind a veil of ice.
