It’s boosted by brilliant modes like the RPG-inspired Road to the Show and the Ultimate Team-esque Diamond Dynasty – the latter of which actually improves upon the card trading formula that’s become a staple of EA Sports’ output.

If you played the first game, you know what to expect here: satisfying traversal, basic but decent combat, and a lighthearted story. With an array of new gravity powers and the series’ gorgeous aesthetic to enjoy, this is one of PS4’s most unusual exclusives, and worth checking out.

Sucker Punch’s third entry in the series moves away from the electrically charged Cole McGrath in favour of Delsin Rowe, a younger, more rebellious protagonist with the ability to absorb powers from other conduits. The result is a more varied, and more fun, superhero sandbox with silky smooth gameplay.

There’s a huge amount of content on offer here, with three full racing campaigns, multiplayer, and some of the best PlayStation VR support yet seen.
